Homework 13 answers to questions so far

In Problem 1.
"e" is the depth of the groove, then d=D-2*e
"d" is the small diameter, to be used in eq. 6.20, not D.
In Problem 2.
In Problem 3.
There is no stress concentration, thus no SCF Kt, and no q.

Homework 13 is currently listed as being due this Friday, 11/22. Is that correct, or is it supposed to be due after the break?

Yes, midnight this Friday. You have all you need to do it.
I explained H13-P1 and H13-P3 today, in class. The PPT is posted.
If anyone still needs an extension, I can do that, but there is no help during thanksgiving week, in case you need that.
Let me know if Friday deadline is still a problem, then I extend it, no problem.

Could Homework 13 possibly be extended just a few days so that it could be completed this weekend?
