Midterm October 1

Topics: up to and including Homework 5

Students must take the exam at the time of the section in which they are enrolled. Not with the "other" section.

Students must write the final numerical answers next to each question (this will be graded).

Students are allowed to use any available space on the exam paper, including the back of pages, for student's work. May also staple additional pages.

ID required to submit the exam at end of exam period.

Students must turn off their phone and store it into their backpack.

Allowed calculators of any kind, drawing instruments, etc., but no notes, no textbooks.

Additional clarifications could be available form the on-site proctor/instructor.

Will there be an equation sheet given with the exam? If there is one, is there any way we can see a copy of it in advance?

No, there is no equation sheet. Please be familiar with the I and J equations in Table A-18 and the shear stress equations in Table 3.2.

Today, it was mentioned in class that our midterm exam grades would be returned physically, not electronically. Will these grades be reflected in our midterm grades on STAR?
